We are a small company based in Wiltshire. We started trading in 2001 when (whilst we were running a retail consultancy Company) my co-founder discovered an innovative car accessory on sale in Germany and we set up Auto Unique Ltd. to import and market it in the UK.

Retailing and wholesaling car accessories is still our primary business (www.auto-unique.co.uk) and Auto Unique Ltd. is the legal name of this business (Signs Unique is just a trading name). Signs Unique started a few years ago when we sold a small range of steel replica advertising signs with a motoring theme as a gift line at Christmas. It went well and a s a result we set up a separate operation and this website which has now grown incredibly. We now offer nearly 4000 signs, clocks, thermometers and fridge magnets and though there’s still a lot of motoring themed items, they cover just about any other theme or topic you can think of too. We source from all around the world and estimate about two thirds of our range is exclusive to us in the UK.

I have a background in High Street retailing for a number of major chains and hope I have successfully brought the service ethic that I always espoused there to internet trading.

There are a lot of sites on the internet selling cheap “homemade” signs and fridge magnets. Be assured that all of our products are factory made to the highest standards, with appropriate licences where appropriate. We are proud of our products and if you are dissatisfied or disappointed with anything you buy from us, please return it reasonably quickly in unused condition for a no quibble refund.

Personal Callers: We do not have a shop and our goods are not displayed in a way which enables browsing. However, if it is convenient for you to collect in person from our Marlborough address, or you want to call in and see an item before buying, that is no problem – but do call ahead – we are not always here – and much of our stock is at a different location – so if you turn up unannounced, you may be disappointed for one of those reasons!
